In December 2020 JGC Corp. was awarded the FEED contract for a gas separation plant construction project being planned by KazMunayGas and its subsidiary, KLPE.

The gas cleaning systems were ordered by Compañía Española de Petróleos SA for their refineries in La Rabida and San Roque.

Significant contracts in 4Q20 included Samsung Ingenieria Manzanillo and Asociados Constructores’ US$3.6 billion EPC contract for various units of Dos Bocas refinery project in Mexico; and Samsung Engineering’s US$1.07 billion contract for the provision of licensor, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (LEPCC) services for a methanol production facility in Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia.

The upgrade is part of an expansion of the facility to incorporate propylene and polypropylene production and increase the supply of petrochemical products to domestic and international customers.

The STRATCO alkylation unit will enable ORLEN to generate low-sulfur, high-octane, low-Rvp alkylate with zero olefins that meets the criteria of the EURO VI standard.

Six technology licence agreements for the gas chemical complex have been signed with Chemtex, Scientific Design, Versalis, Haldor Topsoe, Grace and Sinopec.

The project consists of a supplying a replacement burner for a single burner process heater incorporating the ClearSign Core NOX reduction technology.

The joint venture will construct a new propylene oxide and styrene monomer unit in Zhenhai Ningbo, China.
