The new 30 m high reactor arrived via ship on Thursday 18 July, and was transported to the refinery site during the night with special transport.

The reactor is a €40 million investment made by Total and Lukoil, shareholders in the refinery.

With the expansion, the hydrocracker will operate more energy-efficiently, recucing CO2 emissions by approximately 10 000 t.

The reactor will be connected to the existing installation in 2020.
