The nine ethylene cracking furnaces will be in modularised fabrication. They are scheduled for delivery by early 2018.
The complex will produce 1.4 million tpy of ethylene. The project will be prefabricated, assembled and transported as a whole, which poses a huge challenge for the contractor in its resource management, modular construction and overall transportation.
Zhou Hongliang, Senior Vice President of Wison Engineering, said: "We are very grateful to the trust given to us by Zhejiang Petrochemical. The cracking furnace has always been one of the strongest areas of Wison Engineering. In spite of all challenges caused by the tight delivery timeline of such large-scale project, Wison Engineering will actively mobilise the company's resources in the implementation of modular construction and overall transportation strategy to ensure the successful delivery of the project."
