The safety systems at the refinery worked correctly and, after the power supply was restored, the refinery staff commenced work to stabilise operations and bring units back on stream. The power outage and the subsequent shutdown of most of the refinery processing units did not pose a threat.
Normal operations will be restored within the next two or three days.
