In the course of the meeting, an agreement on the Baltic LNG project was signed in furtherance of the Heads of the Joint Venture Agreement. The document contains, inter alia, an agreement on the priority use of Russian technical standards when designing and preparing specifications for equipment. The agreement also sets out key operating aspects of the future joint venture, including occupational safety, industrial safety and social responsibility matters.

The Baltic LNG project envisages the construction of an LNG plant with a capacity of 10 million tpy in the port of Ust-Luga, Leningrad Region.
